What does the Mercedes Benz P2202 P229e P229F error codes mean?
This is a generic code to signify the electronic control module of your vehicle has detected that the sensor signal of your NOx sensor is low on bank one. It is caused by the ECM receiving lower than expected voltage from the signal wire. This can mean that either the NOx sensor has internally shorted, or the wiring has shorted, thereby causing low voltage. This can occur if the sensor has become clogged with soot or otherwise contaminated.
P2202 code and the following ones are related to NOx sensor issue P2200, P2201, P220162, P2203, P2204, P220400 and P220000 when it monitors a fault within the NOx sensors or their circuits.
